working out something... stepping into wines biz... planning to make it as another anchor product for arusan...
went down to singapore with jj for a wines exhibition last weekend...
left my house about 1600 hoursish... reached jb about 2000 hoursish... met tammy for dinner... amazing food in jb too!... ipoh and jb.. i lurve them both!..... traffic in jb is crazy... got lost initially, but, managed to find our way to meet up with tammy after about 30 minutes of run around... after dinner headed towards to her new kindergarten... very nice place... invested about rm 80k in that place... franchisee of smartreader... those franchisor really minting money nowdays!... very proud of that lady... not easy to run a kindergarten tho... it's a her passion and dream, i think... and she is making it real!... good on you lady!... time really flew... time for us to leave and cross the border about 2300 hoursish... just nice to join to midnite crowd at the border...
took us almost 40 minutes to find the freaking hotel... really lost in singapore... last time i went there was like 5 years ago.... managed to check in the hotel after asking for directions, 4 times!... no map, no knowledge... just road orphans in singapore roads... good sleep...
got up just in time for the exhibition... took a cab fm the hotel instead of mrts and buses... reached singapore expo about 1230 hoursish... to our surprise the place was packed, think it's because of the asia food fair... half the size of a football field!... food and wines galore!... on top of that, it's just side by side... bought the entrance tix for wines exhibition... checked some booths out before we headed for lunch next hall... a real feast i would say... then back to the next hall... we started working then... about 12 countries participated... we walked and walked and walked and we did tons of wine tasting... discussed some stuffs re the sole distribution in malaysia with a few vintage lables, got a lot of infos on wines, survey the market thruout the world for wines, made a lot of contacts, etc... after almost 3 hours of walking, talking and tasting... we were both tired, tipsy and hungry... off we went next hall again... and back for more walking and tasting... by about 1900 hoursish, we were all worn out... tot of heading back to the hotel and rest... before that took a smoke at the back of the hall, then met greg... one of the many experts in wines fm australia... talked and discussed some stuffs, then were invited to his booth for more tasting... gosh!... taste buds all numb by then... no choice, we went for it... pretty thankful, because of that smoke i took, we might be heading somewhere in biz..... thereafter, really desperate to get back to the hotel then... almost 8 hours of walking and all we need is rest!... 8 hours of walking was not even enought to cover half of the exhibition!.... we found what we want and we did what we suppossed to do, that's important.... headed back with a cab... called michael to meet-up.... then, dinner near the hotel lobby... came back and rested for a while... michael came with kartini, and yeah, we are out again... this time to harry's in esplanade... paul ponnudurai playing there... johannian working in singapore.. almost 3 years now, i think.... amazing guy with gifted guitar skills fm above... jj dozed of couple of times, am still ok tho after the short rest.... left before he played his last set... supper in geylang... interesting view in geylang at nite, really interesting!... opted to walk back instaed of taking a cab... 40 minutes walk in singapore is definitely different from 40 minutes of walking in malaysia... back, bathed and slept!...
as much as i have guessed, got up after the check out time!... good thing the hotel was ok with it... late for about an hour of so... too tired... excellent sleep!... headed back to kl right after the check out, about 1300 hoursish... got lost in singapore again, can't seems to find our way out of the island... ended up in changi airport to ask for directions!... with the traffic and the breaks, me reached home about 1900 hoursish...
very informative and productive trip indeed...
may be down to singapore again this weekend for another exhibition...

ipoh trip...
wat a break it was.... gaining 3-5 kilos within 3-4 days break is not a joke at all.... read on...
had a very good relaxing break in ipoh indeed... planned this trip very much earlier...
left kl on 2nd November 2005 in joanne’s car about 1500 hoursish... 1st stop in ipoh was susie’s shop to hand her something... then to odavid’s place.... checked in there for the nite... one of the many main intentions for this trip was to see amber.... david and judy’s baby.... mannnnnn... like parents like daughter... freaking chubby, freaking cute and kinda big for her age... only 1 and a half months old, but look like already 6 months old or so!... am i the Godpa?!?.... I want to!... shriley dropped by later for dinner... had this pretty famous south indian curry, bak kut teh, wan tan soup, etc... 1st mission to have a good dinner completed then.... back in david’s place to have a good rest, but not for long.. out again to tesco to get some stuffs for amber.. came back for fish head dinner break, and out again for snooker with jon, joe, jun and thony... the other group ended up in alex’s place for mahjong... bie, joanne, amy, alex, judy, david and shirley had a good time playing mahjong.. met them for supper.... then back home to call it a day...
next morning... hari raya!... breakfast in ipoh garden... david brought bie and myself there… missed that place!... having pork noodle, chee cheong fun, char siew and siew cheong indeed a good way to start the da.. back home only to find out joanne is all ready for dim sum... so, off we went to the one of the many famous dim sums in ipoh... yummy!... bie can’t stuff herself with anymore dim sum after a few and after the heavy breakfast.... then rest of them joined 3 of us later… then to ipoh parade for shopping.. alex and myself were very bored then.. left the ladies there to do their shopping.. we went to his client place in meru valley golf house... tropicana look-and-feel-a-like place... amazing place with stunning pricing... huge bungalows and semi-ds cost about rm1.5 – rm 3.0 million... don’t think you can ever get that in kl… 1st time one to one chatting with alex, amy’s bf.. about 7 years in ipoh or so.... a real clown!... think he is an iranian/a german.. but, inside him.. he is definitely a chinese!.. must hear him swearing in chinese... that will be enough to make you a happy person!... back in ipoh parade to meet them, then checked in to ritz garden hotel.. checked out david’s place earlier... rest and relax time again... but, not for long... it’s dinner time again... went to old town.. there’s this coffee shop that serves really good food and excellent beers... about 13 of us had about 15 plates of food and about 6 buckets of beers... heaven!... paradise!... again, same schedule as yesterday... one group snooker, one group mahjong… but, this time a short one tho!... back in the hotel to sleep…
eve and alan came the next day fm kb/sitiawan to join us.. bigger group.. more friends.. day started with good breakfast in old tow.. chicken noodle, satay, popiah, chicken rice, sotong, etc... then off to yik foong shopping complex, joanne wanna get something fm there then... waited for them outside... dehydrated under the hot sun, off we went for soya bean and tau foo fah... had 2-3 servings... burppp... nice!... ipoh parade again then... joanne forgotten to get something yesterday, a quick one this time round... next, was to this wine shop to get something for shirley’s birthday... then to jon’s shop to get some phones done... after that, finally back to hotel to rest and relax before shirley’s birthday dinner... feeling a bit hungry... went down to have something light with bie... porridge, etc... wat a birthday dinner it was... about 8-9 dishes with 5 bottles of drinks, can’s finish the drinks tho.... think the highlight of the dinner was this drinking game.. had this after the dinner.. chicken head/whisky on a lazy susan... do the imagination yrself... by the time we finished playing that tension drinking game.... the restaurant was already closing then.. off we went to a happening pub behind the restaurant.. sid’s tavern.. there for the 2nd time… really a nice place to hang out... whacky, crazy and a loud nite out… had about easily 10 buckets of beers... mixing drinks with wines, liquors and beers knocked many people off that nite.... susie, joanne, alan and jon knocked out completely... joe were still stable although he acted not like one... unexpectedly, shen joined us too!... one of the many best drinking sessions i had that nite!... left kinda early because of sending those knocked outs back... supposed to go out for supper after that.... but, ended up on the bed snoring away!....
as soon as i got up the next day, my 1st thought was.... am i going back to kl today?!?... I begin to miss ipoh then.. bie actually recorded my snoring session and let me hear it, was loud man.... really loud… poor bie.. not sure she had a good nite sleep or not.... breakfast with derek, one of my clients in ipoh... he brought me to this old kopitiam newly opened opposite royal ipoh club… nice atmosphere, good food... back in the hotel to check out... then off to my brunch in ipoh town... again, almost the same food... this time a little more.. right after that, soya bean and tau foo fah again!... walked to buy salted chicken, coffee powder, biscuits, etc... then to jon’s shop again, chilled there.. then to david’s place... judy, david and amber got back fm teluk intan that day... bought some stuffs for us.... chilled in his place.... tot of leaving about 1500 hourish... but, understand that the traffic was bad.... really bad... alan stucked in the jelapang tol traffic... the queue was about 6 km long!... we decided to leave in the nite then, after dinner… that’s the time we really did some really meaningful and good fellowship... we chatted, we talked, we laughed, we discussed, we laughed some more... fm david’s proposal to rotary/rotaract stuffs to the future of amber to the prediction of who will be getting married next, etc... i surely treasured that couple of hours really much!... david said something so true... he said something like this out of no where… ‘this is what rotaract all about, fellowship, friends, fun, personal growth, etc’.... that particular gave me goose bumps, not sure why tho... tks to rotaract i met all this amazing people, they are wat i call true friends!... then off to dinner… chicken rice... left ipoh about 2200 hoursish... reached kl safely about 0100 hoursish... traffic pretty alright... a lot of vehicles... moving traffic... i miss ipoh!...
i miss my camera during this trip!... hope to get a new one soon!...

you think you are unfortunate?!?... think again!...
you think you are unfortunate?!?... think again!...
finally after almost 2 years or so i ended up in rumah solehah last sunday (30th october 2005)... rumah solehah is one of the many homes for our hiv positive friends... home for few adults and about 20 + children, age fm few months to early teens...
rackl used to do quite a number of activities with them, but slowed down for the past 2 years...
they planned and executed successfully another community service project last sunday... had a simple, but very meaningful buka puasa with them... games and giving out duit raya also the agenda... the kids are as super duper hyper active as ever... they can be very hard to look after, but that's when the fun part kicks in...
there's this kid, boo and myself adore him so much... beautiful kid, literally beautiful... 1st time we saw him, it was about 2 years ago... he was about 1 year old then, can't really walk... when i saw him again last sunday... he was running all over the place, eating and drinking by himself... really good to see that, really made my day!...
kids can actually grow amazingly in differences in 2-3 years!... if am not mistaken, that boy is one of the many abandon children the home is taking care... the caretaker, kak wan is just an amazing person!...
the residents in rumah solehah are from broken homes and abused friends... most of them are hiv positive... i personally don't think the public are properly educated re this matter... many of them actually have this kinda 'eerie' feelings when they know someone is hiv positive... this is one of the many reasons why hiv positive friends are on one island by themself, just because the public 'neglect' them...
if you listen to the stories of our innocent friends, you will know how they feel and how they ended up in that situation... you will just think to yrself, you are not that bad afterall... you think you are unfortunate?!?.. think again!...
after the whole thing, i needed a drink badly... ended up in kaki's corer with few others... had a drink and a nice plate of spicy ham cheese chicken... after that, sent sham home.... and then, sent ls home... owhh yeah, really nice to be able to finally talk to her again after such a long time, and the trip to imbi just brought back memories, memories and memories...

2006 budget...
overdue seaway budget for year 2006 which i suppossed to present on 31st october 2005 made me sitting down here in my room preparing it... tot of presenting it on 7th november 2005, but believe there was some miscommunications and think i better email it out tonite itself...
just finished doing it infact... not really sure whether the budget format is right or not... have yet to really do a proper budget... this is my 1st time for real!...
i don't really love numbers... but, it's that kinda numbers that we know where we expected to stand in the coming year... like it or not, go to do it...
after dinner with bie, went back to office and draft it out... came back and typed it... just sent to et... will wait and see wat he says about it.... did a very realistic budget for year 2006... no point to budget way high up and end up not reaching there at all... watever overshoot the sales budget, it's a bonus...
let's hope for the best!...
"'doing budget is indeed very important, it will enable you to see where will you stand in the coming years"
