politics...

for the opposition, that is!...

contemplating to join for quite a while... gonna participate in it real soon... have alot of interest in it since back then during school days.. just that dun have the right channel and right time to join tho... not to say wanna join to be rich and famous.. anyway, wat riches and popularity are we talking about when one join the opposition?!?...

i love malaysia and being a malaysian makes me proud.... the thing is, the things the current govt and some, or should i say many 'govt related people' are doing is getting way out of hand... would say, some things that they are doing is definitely putting malaysia in the limelight for the wrong reason... too many examples.... and just to sit and watch things go by without doing anything is just not me...

i have been posting every now and then in ryze/mmn on this kinda 'political issues' for people to be aware off and for them to vote wisely during the general elections!.... not trying to be a hero, but there are certainly tons of things that needs to be stressed out...

i will divert all i have posted on ryze/mmn re the 'political issues' here in my blog fm time to time... yes, the all those men in black... do watch my back, if u feel like doing so!...

enough is enough!...

it was a 4496 saturday... double standard practice from holiday villa, subang?!?...

long overdue 'report'...

sham got married... yeah, she is off to berlin now...

puffers took prolly the last pix for a long time to come...

in holiday villa, subang... nice wedding... a little akward for iggy i guess... :) ... overall, he took it ok, i guess... and walloped 6 bottles of beer that nite after the wedding dinner in waikiki!... mind you, he can talk cock with just less than 2 cans of shandy, wat more half a dozen of beer!...

the evening started all fine and dandy until a bunch of motorsports, motor freaks or watever you may call it came for another grand wedding in a ballroom next door... an old gwailo with an old malay woman...

apparently it was a huge wedding dinner of theirs... must be a boss to a motor company, etc...

now... sham's wedding car parked right at the entrance together with their neighbour's convertable initially... the next thing i know sham's wedding car were driven and shifted to across the road by a valet parking guy... the reason being, there was about 7-8 supercars came and they parked at the parking in front of the entrance together with their neighbour's convertable!...

i went to the guy who moved the car and demanded why is sham's car moved over to the other side of the road?!?... i asked are they not yr client too?!?... are they not yr guests too?!?... their replied was simple, "just for temporary sir"... i said you better make sure the car is back to the original position soon, my fren is also yr client!...

apparently am not the 1st one to ask the same question to them... as i left the place almost half kudeee-ed, but still kinda furious, i saw the cars were still there!.. and sham's wedding car were still opposite the road then!...

my questions are...

1 - why did they move sham's wedding car without prior notice?!?...

2 - why is there such a double standard pratice fm them, if any?!?...

3 - why did they not keep their words despite a so called 4-5 star hotel?!?...

4 - did the wedding next door paid extra exclusive charges for the parking?!?...

5 - are those with a bmw wedding car not yr client?!?...

6 - are those with a bmw wedding car not yr guests?!?...

7 - supercars are also cars and am sure those cars can be parked in a normal basement parking lot, why must they be given the advantages of parking their cars at the initial designated parking lots which meant for the 2 wedding cars?!?...

overall.... a 4496 saturday indeed!... had 4 read wine, 4 white wine, 9 whisky and 6 beer.... prolly, just nice for a saturday nite out... great company in waikiki then top the nite away!...

bobby soul fm the platters...

bobby soul is the one of the 2 surviving members fm the platters... went for one of his performance yesterday (10th september 2006)... organised by the rotary organisation... would say a fund raising dinner/performance....

he will be having his performance again this coming wednesday (13th september 2006) in big fish!... think the collection fm the ticket sales will be going to charity... it's at rm 30.00, rm 70.00, rm 90.00 and rm 120.00..

the 'big' show will be on tonite (11th september 2006)... think it's a 'close door' show/event...

frankly speaking... many jaws just dropped when he performed yesterday... despite his 68th birthday today... his showmanship and his voice is still as good as ever!... forget about the current pop-stars, pop groups, mummy boy's group (aka navin's fav group, wham), etc and all... he is wat i call an excellent performer!... totally mesmerising!...

yesterday he did... smoke gets in yr eyes, the great pretender, only you, endless love, harbour lights, unforgettable, etc.. never enough, may be going again this wednesday bringing my folks along!...

he go round the globe for charity purposes now, esp in the philippines... he is down here because of a special invitation by some rotarians...

come on peeps... do join them in big fish this wednesday!... as cliche as it may sounds, this is prolly once in a life time thing!...

sharifah amani (star of sepet and gubra) thrashed mercilessly!...

again.. my question is... is this has got something to do with the mentality of some people who react like this?!?... and/or a double standard practice some authorities are practising?!?...

personally... s.amani is indeed one of the most talented and most natural young actresses ever produced in the malaysia filming industry!...

to say such things about her and the way some authorities 'crucifying' her is totally mindless!...

do go big and do go far and make them eat their own words!....

p/s ; just imagine a young and budding actor said such things to ida... prolly a police report is already done by now... double standard?!?... i think so too!..

Suraya Al-Attas on Saturday: Why pick on Amani alone?

19 Aug 2006

HOW tragic. A young actress whos just beginning her journey in the film industry gets thrashed mercilessly for unwittingly offending the audience at the recent Malaysian Film Festival (MFF).

Yet, the perverted act of a veteran actor/director towards an actress many years his junior at the same event went completely unnoticed.

Can somebody explain why the people who were quick to crucify Best Actress Sharifah Amani for her now-famous acceptance speech "Id like to make my speech in English because I sound stupid when I speak Malay" and "If films (like Gubra) taint our culture, lets do them more often" did not find A.R. Baduls distasteful remarks and actions towards his co-presenter, Ida Nerina, the least bit offensive?

What does that say about our people, particularly the film folk?

From the moment Ida sauntered onto the stage, Baduls remarks were full of sexual innuendoes.

His obscene sense of humour was much more difficult to stomach because Ida had proudly declared that she recently got married, and pointed out her husband in the audience.

Youd think that hed put a lid on it right after that. Of course not. Instead, he leered at a certain part of her body before commenting that her "mudguard masih boleh tahan" (Your "mudguard" still looks good).

This is totally unacceptable behaviour. In any culture.

How did Badul get off scot-free while Amani was lambasted?

At least, 20-year-old Amani has youth in her defence. What excuse does Badul, whos pushing 60, have for such appalling behaviour?

Predictably, nobody noticed. This whole week, most entertainment pages of newspapers have focused solely on the Amani issue, filled with responses from industry folk, including actors, producers, heads of associations as well as ex-presidents of film associations and academics.

Save for a handful like actress Azean Irdawaty, who expressed concern about the harsh punishment meted out to an industry youngster, most have come down hard on Amani.

The fact that Culture, Arts and Heritage Minister Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim voiced his anger with Amani immediately after the festival seemed to have emboldened these people mostly industry veterans who think they have equal right to pass judgment. Why, some appeared even more incensed than the minister!

It seems they are all out for Amanis blood. So bent are they on killing her career that theyve called for various kinds of punishment, from stripping her of the Best Actress title to banning her from acting.

Making matters worse were some newspaper reports which had happily misquoted her (speech), including this one: "Lets do it more often ... filem yang mencemarkan budaya Melayu" (Lets do it more often ... films that taint the Malay culture).

This, of course, angered even more people, especially those who were not at the event or had not watched it on TV. Can we blame them?

Did anyone pause to think this is a young girl with a bright future in the film industry they were attacking? Even more terrifying, several veterans were heard openly instigating a couple of journalists at the MFF post-party to "belasah dia" (thrash her)!

I can understand if these were her peers; then its easy to put it down to jealousy. But no, theyre old enough to be her parents.

As industry elders, they should treat Amani like their child. After all, it is the likes of Amani who will take over the industry one day.

So when a child does something wrong, would a parent whip her with the rotan until she bleeds, and then throw her out of the house? Shouldnt these wiser, older folk guide their juniors?

Strangely, I dont remember any of them condemning producer Raja Azmi Raja Sulaiman when she wrote the novel Cinta 100 Ela which was yanked off the shelves because of its pornographic content not too long ago. At least not in the way Amani is being attacked now.

I didnt know whether to laugh or cry when yet again Raja Azmi, who seems to be on an ongoing crusade against director Yasmin Ahmads works (Sepet and Gubra, both of which star Amani), was asked to comment on Amani.

Just a few months ago, Raja Azmi, conveniently forgetting her "masterpiece", spoke on morality, religion and culture as she criticised Yasmins films on RTM1s Fenomena Seni. I mean ... really!

The way I see it, Amani is guilty. Yes, shes guilty of being ill-prepared for her moment of glory, of not preparing a politically-correct speech after accepting her Best Actress award. Shes guilty of being overexcited to the point of saying something that she now regrets.

Should she be reprimanded? Absolutely. But does she deserve to be punished and crucified in this manner? Certainly not.

So, early in her career, Amani has learnt how vicious the industry can be.

And if she chooses to bow out quietly, you cant blame her because in this country, an artiste has little room for mistakes.

But for the sake of her fans and the rest of us who believe in second chances, we hope Amani will keep her spirit up and chalk this episode down to her experience as "anak wayang".

meow...

tired... worn-out... exhausted... sweaty... sleepy....

that was how i felt as soon as i board the plane in kuching heading back to kl...

initially it was supposed to be a day trip last thursday (17th august 2006).. just go there with chan to check and monitor on the loading of their 2 boilers into 2 x 20' gp ctnrs... some miscommunication happened.. they arranged nothing, absolutely nothing for the loading!... we indicated the lumpsum charges without the loading and off loading...

we had no choice but to stay over a night in kuching... no extra clothes and phone low batt... managed to get a decent room to stay... good thing was, opposite our hotel, there's this kuching food festival!... food galore!..

knocked off very early that nite... got up very early the next morning too... can't really sleep, thinking about the operation the next day... my main worry was that the lorry crane don't turn up!...

all good the next day... to cut in short, everything down by 1700 hours... almost 10 hours under the hot sun and a little hazy too then... all in the name of prieceless experience!..

a lot of things cropped up during the entire journey... very tiring, not physically more like mentally... the difference of slightly less than one inch between the bolier hooking point and the ctnr entrance enough to gimme the creep then... all in all it was a good trip!...

wat title should i put for this post huh?!?...

one of the busiest week am having right now...

all started on monday.. didn't really have time to breathe easily except couple of mins here and there (a dramatic sentence huh?!?)...

things so far so good.. had a lousy july 2006... sales almost break even, not to say i have very high overhead afterall... :) ... need to do up the may 2006, june 2006 and july 2006 accounts soon, so i can plot and connect the dot fm the previous months...

pretty comfy to be working all alone now.. intially i felt the changes since may resigned... but, getting used to it and am all alright now... company performance up or down is on my shoulders... challenging myself to the max!...

this saturday is jj's pharmacy grand opening.. that guy is certainly going places!... good for him!... things are looking pretty good for him and his partners... understand people already looking for him for franchise!... simple concept, some niche market products, very strategic location, reasonable rental, flexible building management and most importantly excellent workforce... after all this reasons, dun see why they cannot do. way to go forest springs!...

also, realised i have been pretty vocal lately on the stuffs the government is doing to my frens, via a network board, etc... not to say am against them or wat, but i just can't seems find any proper explanation as to wat, when, why, who and how matters.. this kinda frustrates me as a citizen of malaysia and i strongly believe i have all the right to know wat's happening in my own country (a corny sentence huh?!?)... couple of my frens actually ask me wat am i going thru and wat made me started this kinda 'outburst'..... hello people!... those who know me well enough, i have politics and government interest since my school days... just that i realised lately with my additional voice thru the right channel/s, HOPE things can change for good... i meant improvement, HOPEFULLY!... there are many people i know of who dun even bother to know wat's happening in and out of the country yet making so much noise about this and that... go for voting, it's yr right!.. if you can't even fulfill this simple task, i'd rather prefer you to keep quiet then... durh!...

it's pass midnight now and i supposed to have gone to bed approx 2 hours ago... need an early nite sleep, VERY long day tmr... collection of docs in bukit kemuning, do shipping marks in jenjarom/carey island, fowarding meeting in port klang, back to kepong to meet a client and pj for some stuffs... looking at the iteniary itself makes me tired!... anyway, the consolation for the packed friday will be an eventful weekend which am pretty much looking forward to...

seek and you shall find, but make sure you know wat you are seeking for in everything and anything...

how important is 'paper qualification' in the society nowdays?!?...

see a lot of people and know quite a good number of them are kinda wasting their parents money studying just for the sake of studying and follow their peers taking up the course they are taking... many of them either give up half way or they come back with paper A and doing something which relates to paper Z...

when asked their parents who already know their children can't study... why waste time sending them to college?!?... most likely the answer would be... "at least got one paper to find job in the future mah"...

when they were told there are also people who made it WITHOUT any proper education, prolly until primary schooling or so... reaction would most prolly be... "that one last time... got a lot of opportunities... now paper is more important"...

i agree paper qualification is pretty important to a certain limit... when you have a proper paper for job interview/s, chances are you will have an uppper hand than those who do not... also, it's very much depending on which kinda line you intend to get yrself into... you dun get very successful chinaman in selayang dealing with gigantic excavators, hands filled with engine oil, etc.. with any other cert than his spm grade 3 cert with him and/or maybe even his srp also cukup makan!...

well...

how important is 'paper qualification' in the society nowdays?!?...

you ended up doing wat you studied?!?...

my personal believe/opinion... gauge yr own children abilities whether can they study or not.. you have at least a good 11 years to do the gauging and lend them a helping hand to decide on certain things, which bound to have some uncertainties here and there when they finish secondary schooling... if they can study and if you are capable of sending them here and there to equip themselves for their own future, by all ways and means, go ahead... if they are not a fren of bookworms, let them start to live the life of a working person as soon as they finish secondary schooling, then can take up part-time course/s here and there to equip themselves further...

think this way will help both parties... parents and the children...

mahathir vs abdullah... round 2?!?...

another interesting one to follow up... watever outsome it may be.... it may do something to the economy of malaysia too...

only 3 matters mentioned below... mahathir may even touch on khairy's position/authority too...

The second round of Mahathir-Abdullah political tussle is probably the most important and decisive one which will determine the duration of the Abdullah premiership regardless of whether the battle goes the “full 15 rounds” or otherwise
_____________________
Media Statement
by Lim Kit Siang
______________________

(Ipoh, Saturday) Former Prime Minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad’s return from his 22-day overseas trip marked the second round of the Mahathir-Abdullah political tussle, with him opening up on his arrival at the Subang military airport on three fronts:

* That he was barred from speaking to UMNO Clubs in England and that the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi was not as open to criticism as when he (Mahathir) was Prime Minister – citing the case of Bapa Malaysia and first Prime Minister Tunku Abdul Rahman, who “wrote to the Star, he wrote books, he wrote all sort of things, he supported those who wanted to dethrone me, but I didn’t do anything to him”.

* That the government had not satisfactorily replied to his allegations over the cancellation of the RM1.1 billion crooked half-bridge, particularly over the sale of sand to Singapore as none of the declassified documents, which contained four correspondences between him and top Singapore officials, released last week divulged new details. As Mahathir said, “they bring out old letters that Singapore had long published”.

* That he had “picked a foreign minister (Datuk Syed Hamid Albar) who does not know how to read letters”.

Mahathir has selective memory, as he did not mention the dark years of oppression under his premiership, in particular the 1987 Operation Lalang clampdown of mass arrests of Opposition MPs and leaders, civil society activists as well as closure of newspapers, resulting in the “silencing” of Tunku Abdul Rahman in the mainstream media.

However, Mahathir’s complaint that the Abdullah government had failed so far to answer satisfactorily the various issues he had raised is valid, although it is not only Abdullah who must give full and satisfactory accountability for his 33 months of premiership, Mahathir cannot escape responsibility and accountability for his 22-year premiership with satisfactory answers to the long catalogue of questions which had been posed to him on the grave destruction he had wrought to key national institutions, whether independent Parliament, Judiciary, Cabinet, Police, Election Commission, Anti-Corruption Agency, Civil Service or Media as the fourth Prime Minister of Malaysia.

The second round of Mahathir-Abdullah political tussle is probably the most important and decisive one which will determine the duration of the Abdullah premiership regardless of whether the battle goes the “full 15 rounds” or otherwise.

This is because at issue is the battle for the hearts and minds of UMNO, which will decide the tenure and duration of Abdullah’s leadership of UMNO and therefore the premiership. I understand that Mahathir has been invited to officiate at several UMNO divisional general meetings next month.

Abdullah won the biggest electoral mandate ever achieved by any Prime Minister in Barisan Nasional history when he secured 92 per cent of the parliamentary seats in the 2004 general election on his promise of government reform and war against corruption.

Unfortunately, Abdullah had not been able to make use of this unprecedented popular mandate to deliver his electoral pledge of a clean, efficient and people-oriented government.

This was why in the September 2004 UMNO party elections, Abdullah suffered major setbacks when UMNO candidates he favoured were trounced while UMNO leaders he would like to see retired triumphed with the highest number of votes.

If in this second Mahathir-Abdullah round of political tussle, Abdullah failed to realize the grave challenge posed to his premiership and allow the impression to gain ground and take root that Abdullah is unable to give satisfactory response to the Mahathir challenge, his fragile hold on UMNO loyalties will be broken as UMNO stalwarts throughout the country and at all levels of leadership started to hedge bets so as not to back the “wrong horse” and be caught on the wrong footing in the final UMNO leadership showdown which appears to be unavoidable.

The most effective way for Abdullah to counter the Mahathir challenge is to stay true to his election promises and deliver his 2004 election pledge to reform the government and to fight corruption. He had however dilly-dallied for 33 months with very little to show. The window of opportunity for Abdullah to deliver his election pledge is closing quick and fast, which in the long run, will undermine his ability to defend and preserve his premiership and fight off the Mahathir challenge, with far-reaching consequences not only on how long the fifth Prime Minister will hold office but also his legacy.

world cup 2006 in a nut shell...

like wat i mentioned here and there earlier.. kinda boring...

pretty much predictable winning team and unpredictable scorelines, etc...

filled with interesting incidents.. filled with cards... filled with tears... filled with dramas.. etf...

zidane gave a memorable final with the head butting incident... 2nd penalty shoot-out decider in the world cup history... frankyly speaking fm a very neutral point of view, italy didn't win it.. more like the french gave it away... to me personally, to win or lose in a penalty shoot-out don't really constitute that team a world champion or that team takes the 2nd place.. thank God they didn't use the golden goal rule... it's much more sickening!...

now, got to wait another 4 years for the world cup to be played again in south africa!...

article fm... http://fifaworldcup.yahoo.com/06/en/060709/1/8pce.html...

Germany 2006 will no doubt be remembered as the fans’ FIFA World Cup™. With millions of people attending public screenings of the event, the atmosphere in the host country was incredible, as people from all over the world took the official motto ‘A time to make friends’ to heart.

On the pitch, 32 teams battled it out for football’s ultimate prize. Some bowed out after just three games while France fell at the final hurdle as Italy claimed the crown of world champions, a description that will be used against their name for the next four years. Here, FIFAworldcup.com reviews the performance of each individual team, listed in order of how far they got.

Winners:
Italy
The Azzurri won the FIFA World Cup for the fourth time after holding their nerves in a dramatic penalty shoot-out. For their performances in the group stages, Round of 16, quarter-finals and semis, football fans all over the world would agree that Marcello Lippi's side were worthy winners of the competition.

Runners-up:
France
Inspired by Zinedine Zidane, until his dramatic sending-off in the Final, Les Bleus surprised everyone to reach the showdown in Berlin on 9 July. Although they looked shaky in the group stage, it was in the knockout rounds that they really came into their own, defeating Spain, Brazil and Portugal with relative ease.

Third place:
Germany
The highest scorers at the tournament captured the imagination of the public with a combination of fine football and a never-say-die attitude.

Fourth place:
Portugal
Luiz Felipe Scolari’s outfit were arguably the surprise package of Germany 2006, overcoming Mexico, the Netherlands and England en route to the semi-finals.

Quarter-finalists:
Argentina
After some great performances in the group stages and a victory over Mexico in the Round of 16, the Albiceleste were unlucky to lose to the hosts in a dramatic shoot-out.

Brazil
The world champions’ attempt to secure their sixth FIFA World Cup success ended after a lacklustre showing against France. A tournament to forget for the Seleção.

England
Unlucky with injuries, unlucky from the spot. Once again, penalties proved to be the undoing of England, who failed to live up to their high expectations at this event.

Ukraine
Coached by Oleg Blokhin, the FIFA World Cup first-timers did extremely well in reaching the last eight, but found Italy too tough an opponent in Hamburg.

Round of 16:
Australia
Not expected to get past a group which included Brazil, Croatia and Japan, Dutch coach Guus Hiddink masterminded a magnificent showing by the Socceroos.

Ecuador
Before the turnament began, it was claimed that the South Americans could not play well away from their home country. La Tricolor proved their doubters wrong.

Ghana
As the only side from the continent to qualify for the Round of 16, Ghana were rightly described as the ‘Pride of Africa’. Victories over the USA and the Czech Republic cemented this claim.

Mexico
El Tri will be disappointed with their exit in the Round of 16 but the match against Argentina - which they lost 2-1 after extra time - will surely be remembered as one of the tournament’s best.

Netherlands
After qualifying from what was thought to be the tournament’s toughest group, Marco van Basten’s men came up short against a well-organised Portugal side.

Spain
Tipped by many to go far in the competition after disposing of Ukraine, Tunisia and Saudi Arabia with relative ease at the group stages, Spain fell at the very next hurdle.

Sweden
Conceding two early goals in the first 12 minutes to Germany effectively ended the Swedes' hopes of progressing to the quarter-finals.

Switzerland
The winners of Group G failed to convert any of their three penalties against Ukraine to see them exit the competition with an unwanted new FIFA World Cup record.

Group Stages:
Angola
While not altogether unexpected, Angola's first-round elimination was down to a combination of inexperience and tactical limitations.

Costa Rica
Costa Rica were hoping for big things in Germany, but the team which was considered to be one of the best in the country’s history, failed to get past the group stage.

Côte d'Ivoire
The Elephants came with a lot of promise and although they fell at the first hurdle, they won many friends and admirers in their all-too-brief visit to Germany.

Croatia
Back home many thought that a clash with Italy in the Round of 16 was the team's destiny. However, failure to take chances put paid to Croatia's hopes.

Czech Republic
They entered the FIFA World Cup as one of the highest-ranked teams and got off to an impressive start. But injuries struck their forwards and the journey home came all too soon for the Czech Republic.

Iran
Defeats by Mexico and Portugal in their opening games left Iran with no chance of advancing. The subsequent point claimed against Angola was no consolation at all.

Japan
Two goals and a solitary point were all Japan had to show for their efforts at Germany 2006, the tournament which brought to an end Zico’s reign as coach.

Korea Republic
Victory against Togo gave the Taeguk Warriors their first FIFA World Cup success on European soil, but it was not enough to book the team a place in the Round of 16.

Paraguay
Paraguay returned home having picked up just three points from their three Group B encounters. Their hopes were ended by narrow defeats in their opening two matches.

Poland
Poland and their fans are unlikely to harbour fond memories of Germany 2006, but a 2-1 win over Costa Rica in their final match did provide some consolation.

Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia for their fourth consecutive appearance at the FIFA World Cup finals, and once again Sami Al Jaber weighed in with a goal.

Serbia and Montenegro

The team that only conceded one goal in qualifying to finish ahead of Spain, somehow ended up on the receiving end of ten in as many days in Germany.

Togo
Having suffered three defeats in as many games, Togo bade farewell to Germany as the bottom team in Group G, with off-field issues contributing to their downfall.

Trinidad and Tobago
Showing great determination and resolve to make up for their inexperience and lack of resources, T&T will look back on their two weeks in Germany as a success.

Tunisia
Tunisia made history by becoming the first African side to record a win at Argentina 1978. Twenty-eight years on and three campaigns later they have yet to repeat the feat.

USA
They earned only a single point, thanks to a 1-1 draw with Italy, and there is no shortage of things that could have gone better for this US squad.

do look at the bigger pix of zidane's head butt...

fm a very neutral point of view... neither for the gayish italians or for the cocky french...

surfed into most of the popular sports/footie websites... the whole world seems to be talking about zidane's head butt... some websites even put that as the main pix on their website.. overshadowing italians winning the title...

even beckenbauer mentioned.. he is always reserved and let his footie do the talking.. he must have been provoked to act in such a way... i got to agree with him...

until now... prolly, guess the whole malaysia watched the headbutt incident over and over and over again over astro.. but, they only showed once or twice wat happened BEFORE the head butt and wat actually provoked zidane...

materazzi is clearly doing all the touching, twisting and turning zidane's nipple and caressing zidane's chest...

then that gayboy kena head butt!.. padan muka lah, wat else... brokeback italians!...

all this could be also out of frustration...

but, anyway.. anyhow... why wanna provoke zidane for no reason/s?!?...

the french can hold their heads high up eventho they gayboys beat them!...

p/s ; the way materazzi fell to the ground was so dramatic... should have joined wwe instead of footie...

wat happened and wat's happening at the world cup 2006...

wat i have observed, learned and realised during this world cup... in no particular order...

1 - referees think that they are God...

2 - sepp blatter said something few times about the portugal vs holland referee and then regretted about it, but in the end the referee also kena dropped...

3 - maradona is loyal to his people around him...

4 - portugal is filled with mummy's boys...

5 - zidane is old?!?.. nahh, he came back strongly...

6 - dun and never underestimate underdogs...

7 - brazil can actually suck pretty well...

8 - ronaldo needs to go on a diet...

9 - ronaldinho needs to pay a visit to the dentist...

10 - euros chics can never come close to south american ones...

11 - real men dry...

12 - people can actually refuse emergency treatment and go on celebrating the joy of a goal...

13 - chelsea may be thinking twice now for buying schevenko...

14 - some teams play with 14 players... 11 + 3 match officials...

15 - rules are tougher...

16 - a fren of mine confessed secretly that she is a sucker for mummy's boys...

17 - fifa world cup website is excellent...

18 - know some people actually talking about malaysia getting into the world cup...

19 - ballack also known as bollocks...

20 - you can't score mean you can't score... 20+ - 30+ shots on goal, not even one went between the post... lampard fm chelsea.. why am i not surprise...

21 - another fren of mine have this problem called 'dunno-which-team-to-support-all-the-time'... fm supports para-gay to urut-gay... then one a certain occasion he had a germany flag painted on his palm and a sweden flag painter on his right cheek... people just dun make up their mind... sigh!...

22 - scolari talks a lot...

23 - eriksson have no feelings, be it win or lose...

24 - prolly only in germany you can find stadium with 'pole-roof' which is able to distract a game and/or the players on the pitch...

25 - wags are more popular than the players at times...

26 - colleen bought a car for approx euros 177k for rooney even before the world cup belongs to the english.. i wonder wat will she get when he scores a goal then...

27 - another certain fren i know came all the way to watch a game with us in big fish... apparently he know nuts about footie... so, kuritaing should be the only purpose...

28 - shebby singh should coach a world cup team... preferably ghana...

29 - simple osim igallop ad is more popular than multi million dollars ad shown on astro...

30 - portugese are softies...

31 - germans are snobbish...

32 - italians are gays...

33 - french are cocky...

34 - everyone looks the same in team like ghana and togo...

35 - this is the only month in 4 years where billions of dollars are transfered around the globe in the fastest way...

36 - a tunisian/saudi arabian player gave away his man of the match award simply bacause the award was awarded by budwiser.. wtf?!?.. wat will happen if it is an award fm durex... put on helium gas and treat is as a hot air balloon?!?...

37 - winning teams are kinda predictable in this world cup, but not the scoreline...

38 - no fancy hair style thus far.. unless zidane choose to put on a wig during the 2nd semi-final...

39 - germany in overall did an excellent job which suited the 'slogan' very well... time to make friends... personally i still prefer korea/japan world cup in 2002...

40 - south africa will have a tough act to follow...

wat a way to go out...

120 minutes still no score... and the score needs to be sorted out via penalty kicks!...

golden goal and/or silver goal rule is bad and unfair... penalty kicks is cruel and cunning...

that's it... the english are out of the world cup 2006... their exit were filled with controversies, doubts and uncertainterties...

not to say me being a sore loser... but, come on.. one clear penalty not awarded and one underserved red card shown says it all!...

couldn't bear watching the penalty kicks initially in big fish.. thought of waiting for results in the car... but, somehow something in someway made me stayed back to watch the disaster happened...

lampard, gerrard and carragher penalty kicks saved by ricardo... wat else you want me to say about chelsea and liverpool players?!?... i even gave up thinking about them, dun even bother to ask me to comment about them... as soon as i saw lampard were to take the 1st kick... most of the big fish patrons that nite went... "ooooooooooo... not him pls"... that guy having probs to score even open goals.. wat more taking a penalty...

people say the goal post will look huge when taking a penalty during a game, not during penalty kicks... so true... me myself realised the goal post were smaller that nite... :) ...

2 more things to note fm that game...
- hargreaves were indeed excellent against the portugese...
- lennon made such a big impact when he came on for beckham...
- crouch is to fragile and/or flimsy...

watever it may be.. england WILL BE back in 4 years time...

p/s ; think the english fa paid walcott air ticket/s, accomodation, etc for the fun of it...

closing down of churches by the malaysian government?!?...

fwded email...

Actually this has already been happening... Just about Seven months back..... This is what happened.... all without notice.....

"...the community had woken up last Thursday morning to find themselves surrounded by enforcement teams, police and bulldozers."

"Just the day before, the community was busy making last-minute preparations for this weekend's church dedication cum Christmas celebration,.."

"....two hours to demolish the church which took the Orang Asli three months and RM 40,000 to build."

Christmas joy dashed for orang asli

http://www.malaysianbar.org.my/content/view/2151/2/

"The architect of Malaysia's pro-Islamic drive, while serving as deputy prime minister, Anwar Ibrahim says he only advocated the adoption of Islamic values in government and the civil service and not the "Arabisation" of Malaysian society."

''I myself am worried about the direction of the country," Anwar said at arecent forum on the topic. "Our leaders are failing us. We need strong and committed leadership to arrest the decline." (END/2006)

KUALA LUMPUR, Jun 1 (IPS) - eben

http://www.ipsnews.net/news.asp?idnews=33451

"In some cases, they have even resorted to closing down churches inMuslim-majority areas, and setting up mosques in Muslim-minority areas."

"In 2004 and 2005, the Government caused a furore within the Chinesecommunity by closing down and demolishing some Chinese temples inChinese-majority areas. In as recent as June 2006[6], the Government hasdemolished more than 10 Hindu temples in Hindu majority areas. While thenon-Muslim public suspects that there is a systematic elimination of non-Muslim religious rights in Malaysia by Islamic supremacists within the Government, the Government itself has categorically denied this, though they did not apologize for these acts either."

Islam in Malaysia

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islam_in_Malaysia

The "main proof" that I have is not what the Law or the Government says but "Islamic Theology" in itself." (What I say when I am weak is one thing, But now that I am strong I will say something else - My true Intent)

The second proof is Malaysia'a progress into becoming a semi-TheocraticNation. (and in the midst of this, a growth of persecution of the Religious minorities)

The third is based on my conversation with an Individual (A Christian) who works with one of our MP's. That's just what they are planning to do.(Call it divine providence)

For the first time Churches in K.L, the city are also in slight danger.

Of course, no one is going to admit to their evil intentions. Just as how it happened to the Orang Asli's its going to happen the same way; all of asudden, without anyones notice.

This is going to happen, one by one.

If we accuse them for having such an evil intent, they will definately deny this and accuse us instead, of Slander.
In my opinion,(simplified) a way that we could overcome this problem is tohighlight (to the public and to the International Community) the atrocities that have already been happening, especially to Christians (Many don't know) and question the Government over and over again if this is going to happen again.

We need to prevent this from happening.

We need to always keep watch and not be caught by surprise.

Thank you.

ghana lost to sneaky techniques or money incentives?!?...

3 goals fm offside trap?!?... they must be training real hard for this curi ayam style aka like how i play futsal!... :) ... nutin much about them samba-ing... altho goofy did gave some entertainment here and there.. cafu were as good as ever... dida indeed a solid wall to crack in the game yesterday...

ghana played a superb 1st half more than 50% ball possesion... all went apart for them after the quite-clear-offside goal in the 1st half injury time... gyan and muntari were all over the field buy nutin concrete fm him... without essien they dun look as effective as when the beat czech republic...

ghana attacked fm the start... they found themselves after the 1st goal... not too late to do anything until the 2nd goal... 2nd half were just slow...

back to the subject...

during half time.. had a talk with some people over there.... pretty interesting people who actually play for at least a plasma tv... they were actually saying brazil will win with 3-0, put yr life to it.. some said that even before the game.... apparently this kinda source came from 'people/sources' all the way fm germany and all over the world... mentioning some of the black stars players will be getting some kinda bungalow, incentive, etc.. etc... etc... back in their country in not scoring for the game and most importantly not winning it... on top of that heard that there'll be only 1 red card for the game...

come on peeps... get real... common sense for a team to beat brazil now will take huge effort and fortune this time round in this world cup... it's not that easy...

wat am wondering is... there are clear cut chances for ghana to score yesterday.. not one, not two, not three but tons of chances for them... but, they keep treating the footie goal post like those we see in rugby field!... also, apparently ghana coach were subject to some orders fm some of the fifa commissioner/s to stay off the pitch in the 2nd half!... btw, why huh?!?... am not sure the real reason behind it...

news has been around since my grandfather's days that footie is nutin but money... more so lately in major tournament... true?!?... i dunno...

if so and proven that this is a money game... then think they the 'big players' are going for those newbies... dun think some reputable country, clubs, etc.. will be involved eh?!?...

world cup or should i say footie is losing its glitters?!?...

footie is just so cruel...

another 15 seconds and the world gets to watch at least another 30 minutes, most importantly another 30 minutes to battle out who is more deserving to win... but, one extremely debatable penalty took place in the approx last 15 seconds of the injury time... and that was all over for the aussies!...

italy certainly don't deserve to win that 2nd round game...

after one man down... were playing so defensively.. once in a while they will counter attack.. that was all about it!... they definitely dun play like a 3 times world cup champion...

aloisi did indeed change the game when he came in... think hiddink were expecting the extra time and reserved 2 more substituitions for it... perhaps he should have change the balance 2 as some of the players looked really worn out... nevertheless, he is one of the many excellent coaches to look out for!...

go aussies!.. come back bigger and stronger in 4 years time!...

world cup 2006...

after endless of waiting hours... after millions of painful minutes... after billions of seconds passed by... and after 4 years of itch...

only to find this world cup is a little over-rated...

to be honest this world cup is a little boring compare to the one in japan and korea...

quite predictable on the winning team... scorelines a little shocking for couple of matches.. other than that nutin much to shout about...

all the way for the english to win the 2nd time after 1966... but, must admit... so far the 3 games they played are kinda dissapointing... they struggled against paraguay... pathetic game until last 15 minutes against trinidad & tobago... drew with sweden...

next game will be the 2nd round 1st game for them... playing against ecuador...

looking at ecuador... they are pretty impressive so far in this world cup...

as cliche as it may sound... "the ball is round"... we shall see, watch and observe wat's gonna happen next...

speaking of watching world cup... what the heck am i still doing in the office at this hour?!?... should be somewhere watching the 2200 hours game now!...

balls polishing or wat?!?...

went for a huge function yesterday in kl last friday (16th june 2006)... selangor turf club annual dinner... the 110th anniversary..... approx 120 tables.. approx 1,200 people....

didn't really drink... so, were sober enough to observe people... this is wat i observed...

- people can go all the way fm the other end of the ballroom to this side just to shake hand with the guest of honour... a tengku...

- people can be so fake with them saying with a straight face whereby they were almost reaching the kudikaran kupehs status/level for the nite... "hello tengku, long time no see".... "how are you tengku?!?... congrats on yr appointment by the pm".... "remember me tengku?!?"... i heard all this because they happened to gather next to our table...- "bring a glass of drink here lah.. quick before tengku cabut.. faster!"... one kkk telling another one...

- "there this is the tengku lah... my fren's bro's fren"... were also heard...

- "this is one of the strongmen in perak lah... can look for him if you have anything"... also heard of such remark/s...

- people practically turn their head around 360 degrees for almost 2 hours to look for a datuk, just to say hi to him...

- one lady waved so hard at the tengku to be noticed... during he did the draw for the grand prizes on the stage...

- tun m present.. he is as calm as ever... in his place most of the time... yet people are so jakun... "wahhhhhh, pm also came ar?!?"....now, my questions are...

1 - why do people re-act in such a way?!?...

2 - any hidden agenda behind them?!?... or just to tell other people... "hey, i know so and so man"...

3 - do u mean by having some kinda tengku, tan sri, datuk, etc titles.. your status will make you higher than the rest of us?!?... also, you can start to act like God?!?... bear in mind that they are also human afterall...

if one were to tell me... i did that to respect him/her... i would say bullshiet!..... prolly, am gonna reply him/her... you are just doing some balls polishing and hoping of marrying him/her and end up living in a castle with 10 maids around under your care...

i also observed... the most active tables are those with good frens around who didn't see each other for such a long time and drinking and be merry with each other... this are the tables who dun give 2 hoots about who's there and who's not...

not to be and dun mean to be dis-respectful to anyone of them... but, the bottom line is... ALL OF US are human after all... at the end of the day, we have no one to report/reply to... except The Man above there...

comments appreciated...
