the tribe have spoken in ijok... three simple reasons why the umno-led bn won...

the tribe in ijok have spoken.. they prefer an indian teacher over a malay corporate figure to take care of their problems... and... people in ijok seems not interested in sending signal to the rotten umno-led government and the half-past-six cabinet...

why the umno-led bn won in ijok?!?...

the below mention are 3 simple reasons are based on my observation...

1) money politics... millions of ringgits poured over the approx 2 weeks before the by-election... buying of votes, land title, halls, building of mosques, sewing machines, washing machines, schools, road tarred, etc...

2) fear... after so many terms the umno-led bn leading in ijok, the people in ijok may feel uncomfortable to change the current governance, also they may fear things may change drastically if the umno-led bn were to lose and being sore losers they may pull-back everything the promised the people in ijok...

3) last chance... looking at the statistics for the past 3-4 terms, the last representative in ijok was certainly losing his grip in representating the people in ijok then... people may vote for the umno-led bn simply because they want to give them another chance with a new guy in the house..

watever it may be now... am wishing the newly elected representative all the best... looking at him.. a nice and decent looking guy.. but as the saying goes, looks can be deceiving...

p/s ; fear not pkr!... you people will prevail in the big battle which is the next general election!....

Terence, it wasn't just development. There was overt vote-buying. Still, as you say, the fight goes on.

The way how RTM1 went on overdrive and lambasted at Anwar after they have won Ijok is deplorable and uncalled for.
After all, they controlled the machinery
